Will work for fun (and money)

After six months contracting for the Los Angeles Times, it's time to move on. It's not the first time I've left the newspaper industry, nor is it the first time I've left without prospects for a job.

What is different is that, instead of being open to anything that comes my way, I'm actually trying to establish myself in the world of film and video editing. I've learned that it's probably the only thing about which I'm passionate that people will pay me to do.

I expect that breaking into this field is going to be challenging, so I've set up a new blog to track my progress, setbacks and successes.
